A leading global sustainability consultancy seeks experienced EIA professionals at Managing and Principal Consultant levels. These roles involve leading significant environmental projects, managing team members, and navigating planning and licensing processes in the renewable sector. ERM, the world's largest pure play sustainability consultancy, is regularly hiring experienced EIA professionals at Managing and Principal Consultant levels for our Onshore Renewables & Infrastructure team within Capital Project Delivery. In these roles, you will provide expert environmental consultancy services to internal and external clients and lead the work of less experienced team members. You will lead environmental inputs for planning applications, ranging from screening and scoping to environmental appraisals and large-scale EIA projects, as well as post-planning condition discharge.
You will project manage complex projects, including onshore wind, solar, battery storage, and grid connection. Occasionally, you will collaborate with our marine team on offshore projects, developing your skills in this area.
You will navigate projects through licensing and consenting processes, including DCO and S36, provide strategic advice to clients, and ensure project delivery within schedule and budget. You will maintain and develop client relationships and represent the company at meetings, conferences, and events.

About you
You should hold a degree in an environmental discipline and be an experienced professional in consulting, regulatory, or developer environments, sharing our values and passion for renewables.
You will have managed multiple EIAs for complex projects, experience with the consenting process, and strong report writing skills. Chartered status or working towards it (IEMA) is preferred.
