ERM, the world's largest pure-play sustainability consultancy, is regularly hiring experienced EIA professionals at Managing and Principal Consultant levels for our Onshore Renewables & Infrastructure team within Capital Project Delivery. In these roles, you will provide expert environmental consultancy services to clients and lead the work of less experienced team members. You’ll manage environmental inputs for planning applications, ranging from screening and scoping to environmental appraisals and large-scale EIA projects, as well as post-planning condition discharge.
You will project manage complex projects including onshore wind, solar, battery storage, and grid connection. Occasionally, you may work with our marine team on offshore projects, developing your skills in this area.
You’ll navigate projects through licensing and consenting processes including DCO and S36, provide strategic advice to clients, and ensure project delivery within schedule and budget. You will maintain and develop client relationships, represent the company at meetings, conferences, and events.

You should be degree qualified in an environmental discipline and experienced in consulting, regulatory, or developer environments, sharing our passion for renewables.
You will have managed multiple EIAs for complex projects, be familiar with the consenting process, and possess strong report writing skills. Chartered status or working towards it (e.g., IEMA) is preferred.
