Job summary

Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team is seeking skilled Composite Laminators for future fixed-term opportunities during the 2027 build period. This role focuses on precision laminating for high-performance components used in racing, with emphasis on safety and quality.

You will perform day-to-day laminating, inspect components, follow production targets, and work across shifts including nights. Experience with composite laminating, ability to read technical drawings, and familiarity with SAP are

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day laminating and bagging of composite components in line with production targets.
• Maintain component quality through production stages.
• Work safely and coordinate with Team Leaders to meet Health and Safety requirements.
• Identify potential manufacturing problems early to avoid delays and errors.
• Flexibly support different areas of the Composites department as priorities change.
• Complete SAP and time-recording bookings accurately, taking corrective action when required.
• Work across various shift patterns including early/late, weekend and nights.

The Role

Be a part of our 2027 build period and help create the precision composite components that contribute to performance in one of the world’s most demanding engineering environments. Composites is fundamental to Formula 1 and every component must be produced accurately, safely and consistently to support demanding production targets. We are looking to connect with skilled Composite Laminators for future fixed-term contract opportunities. Whether you already work in motorsport or bring relevant experience from another high-performance manufacturing environment, we would be interested in hearing from you.

What Future Opportunities May Involve

• Day-to-day laminating and bagging of semi-structural and structural composite components in line with production targets.
• Maintaining component quality throughout each stage of production.
• Working safely and liaising with Team Leaders to ensure tasks are completed promptly and in line with Health and Safety requirements.
• Identifying potential manufacturing problems early to minimise production delays and errors.
• Working flexibly across the Composites department as production priorities change.
• Completing SAP and time-recording bookings accurately, taking corrective action where required.
• Working across different shift patterns including early/late, weekend and nights.
