Job Description:
As part of the HR team and reporting into the Head of People, the Talent Manager is instrumental in delivering the recruitment strategy and supporting the business so that it has the capacity to achieve its objectives and contribute to the Liberty overall business plan. Acting as an accessible business partner, you will deliver high-calibre candidates through a cost-effective recruitment process, ensuring timescales minimise the impact to the business. You will also be responsible for managing a Recruitment Assistant, providing guidance and support to ensure effective delivery across all recruitment activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment Strategies and Plans
- Work in partnership with key stakeholders to understand recruitment needs and identify solutions that align with the recruitment strategy to deliver wider business goals (time to hire, cost per hire).
- Keep abreast of business issues and their potential impact on workforce and resourcing requirements to help determine future resourcing plans and areas.
Stakeholder Management
- Provide high-quality guidance and support to hiring managers in developing and shaping recruitment strategies to achieve business objectives.
- Coach, support, mentor, and challenge managers throughout the recruitment process to ensure best practice, in line with recruitment process, legislation, and raising the bar in terms of calibre of candidate.
- Use HR data and feedback from employees to identify specific recruitment issues and implement appropriate solutions, which support the delivery of business objectives.
Employee Brand
- Work in partnership with key stakeholders to ensure Liberty’s external employee brand represents the Liberty brand and reflects the culture of the business (Liberty careers page, LinkedIn, and social media channels).
- Utilise the Refer a Friend scheme, and other attraction methods to drive direct applications and build a talent pipeline.
- Adhere to the PSL, whilst monitoring and ensure its fit for purpose.
- Support the development of future talent pools through interns, placement, and work experience programmes, working with the business to identify key areas of need.
Candidate Experience
- Deliver an engaging candidate experience, which is fair and consistent, reflecting the Liberty brand, and engages high-calibre candidates, whilst meeting legislation.
- Use tools which are fit for purpose to drive the strategy regarding calibre of candidate and support the ‘profile’ of ‘what looks good’ at Liberty.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proactive, flexible, and able to adapt to changing business needs.
- Able to work to deadlines, prioritise to meet the commercial needs of the business, with strong organisational skills.
- Experience of working with high-volume recruitment across all business functions.
- Some agency experience would be an advantage.
- Able to think commercially, with a desire to deliver a great experience for both candidate and stakeholders, and find new ways to deliver that experience.
- Management experience would be an advantage.
