HR & Talent Manager – Private Healthcare
Clinical Recruitment | HR Management | Talent Acquisition
Location: Oxted, Surrey
Are you an experienced HR professional with a strong background in recruitment, looking for an opportunity to make a real impact?
We are partnering with a rapidly growing private healthcare organisation that is looking to appoint a hands-on, commercially minded HR & Talent Manager to support its continued expansion.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who combines a solid understanding of HR with proven experience recruiting, ideally within clinical environments.
The business is entering an exciting phase of growth, creating an opportunity to take ownership of recruitment, develop its people processes and work closely with senior leadership to build and retain high-performing teams.
This is not a purely strategic HR position. We're looking for someone who enjoys being hands-on, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident personally managing recruitment campaigns from initial sourcing through to successful appointment.
The Role
You'll play a central role in ensuring the organisation attracts, recruits and retains exceptional people across its clinical, operational and corporate teams.
Working closely with senior leadership and hiring managers, you'll combine proactive talent acquisition with broader HR responsibilities, helping establish effective, scalable people practices as the business grows.
What You'll Be Doing
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Take ownership of end-to-end recruitment across clinical, healthcare and non-clinical positions.
- Proactively source, identify and engage professionals through direct sourcing, networking, referrals and targeted recruitment campaigns.
- Build strong talent pipelines across clinical specialisms to support ongoing expansion.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand requirements, advise on candidate availability and develop effective hiring strategies.
- Manage the complete recruitment lifecycle, including screening, interviewing, offer management and onboarding.
- Develop effective recruitment processes that deliver a positive candidate experience and reduce reliance on external agencies.
- Support workforce planning and recruitment forecasting as the organisation continues to grow.
HR Management & People Operations
- Provide practical, commercially focused HR support to managers and senior leadership.
- Manage employee relations matters, including performance, absence, disciplinary and grievance processes.
- Support the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding and probation through to development and off-boarding.
- Review and improve HR policies, processes and procedures in line with UK employment legislation.
- Contribute to employee engagement, retention and workplace culture.
- Introduce efficient HR systems and processes that support a growing workforce.
- Work closely with leadership on people-related initiatives and organisational development.
What We're Looking For
We're particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have experience working within healthcare recruitment alongside broader HR responsibilities.
- Demonstrable experience recruiting, ideally within private healthcare, healthcare services or a specialist clinical recruitment environment.
- Strong hands-on recruitment experience, including direct sourcing and managing multiple vacancies simultaneously.
- Broad HR generalist experience, with a good understanding of employee relations and UK employment legislation.
- Confidence working directly with hiring managers and senior stakeholders.
- Experience managing recruitment processes independently, from initial brief through to placement.
- A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to work autonomously.
- The ability to balance operational recruitment demands with wider HR responsibilities.
Why This Opportunity?
This is an opportunity to join a healthcare business where your contribution will be visible and genuinely valued.
You'll have the chance to:
- Make a real impact: Play an important role in building the teams that support the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Take ownership: Lead recruitment activity while helping shape the organisation's HR processes and people practices.
- Work closely with leadership: Collaborate directly with senior decision-makers and contribute to the company's growth.
- Enjoy variety: Combine clinical talent acquisition, employee relations, people operations and HR improvement projects.
- Help build something: Join an expanding organisation where there is genuine scope to introduce new ideas, improve processes and make a lasting difference.
- Benefit from hybrid working: Enjoy a combination of on-site collaboration and home working.
