Job summary

Methods is seeking a Competency Centre Manager to lead talent across IT Enterprise Services, ensuring the right consultants are in the right roles with optimal utilisation. You will shape capability growth and partner with Sales, Delivery, and Operations to deliver recruitment and development plans in a UK public-sector context.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in leadership, team management, or capability management in consulting or public sector.
• Demonstrated success in recruitment strategy development and execution.
• Track record of managing budgets, headcount planning, and performance targets.
• Ability to influence, negotiate, and build trusted relationships across the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment: build strategy, lead interviews, maintain talent pipeline, support UK growth.
• Management: onboard new consultants, manage bench and utilisation, ensure timely reporting, collaborate on budgeting.
• Development: coach, address training needs, maintain skills matrix, align offers with capability.
• Enable business development: collaborate with sales/bid teams to align assignments with consultants' skills.
• Consultant experience: foster positive culture, support wellbeing, ensure HR policy compliance, monitor performance.
