The Role

As an internal recruiter at Cynergy Bank, you’ll be responsible for our recruitment activity and our direct sourcing proposition, including both determining the strategy and approach to successfully source and the recruitment activity itself. The role has a strong focus on direct sourcing as we continue to champion an in-house recruitment model. You will be supported by and work closely with an on-boarder and sit as part of the People and Culture’s People Advisor team.

You will support hiring activity for all vacancy requirements across the Bank, however this typically is weighted towards front line sales and relationship management roles and technology and digital roles. The Bank is focused on ensuring we have a diverse and inclusive colleague mix and culture, and solid succession planning—creating a pipeline of talent in our recruitment channels to support this is an important part of this role.

You will also be part of the drive towards evolving the People and Culture function, adopting and maximising the potential of technology and automation opportunities to drive an efficient, modern and technology-driven recruitment offer. You will lead much of this work, bringing your expertise and insights to help make an impact.

Responsibilities
  • Help find the right candidates for Cynergy Bank, managing the candidate journey from sourcing to interview.
  • Devise and implement strategies to attract candidates.
  • Conduct headhunting projects to source high-quality candidates for live vacancies and succession planning.
  • Source candidates via headhunting, database, networking, advertising, and LinkedIn.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of relevant and high-quality candidates.
  • Champion and raise our brand profile to attract talent.
  • Write job adverts, size roles, and manage applicants on multiple job boards.
  • Screen CVs, organise interviews, and coordinate relevant tests and appointments.
  • Provide administrative support for the recruitment process, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Support team members in attracting suitable candidates.
  • Provide feedback to hiring managers and candidates.
  • Support onboarding processes for new hires.
  • Engage with top universities and organise recruitment events.
  • Manage talent acquisition projects and recruitment channels.
  • Build strong relationships with candidates and stakeholders.
  • Support the People Advisor team and participate in additional projects as capacity allows.
Essential Knowledge & Experience
  • Experience as an FS or Technology recruiter, ideally in an in-house role.
  • Proven track record of successful candidate placements.
  • Active sourcing skills and knowledge of recruiting trends.
  • Creative and curious approach to recruitment.
  • Comfort with technology, data, and tools like ATS, onboarding platforms, Excel, AI tools.
  • Goal-oriented with a focus on quality results.
  • Strong service orientation and account management skills.
  • Resilient, motivated, and confident communicator.
  • Experience engaging with senior leadership, including Exco level.
  • Ability to work at pace and handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong academic background.
  • Networking skills and outgoing personality.
  • Strategic thinker driven by data.
  • Creative problem solver with excellent interpersonal skills.
