Job summary

The Bedford College Group is seeking a Recruitment Coordinator to join our Talent Acquisition & Onboarding team in Bedford. This role provides end-to-end recruitment support, from job advertising and candidate communications to onboarding and record-keeping in HR systems.

We value strong customer service, stakeholder management, safeguarding knowledge, and the ability to work in a structured, confidential environment. This permanent role offers a 25-hour week schedule with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience using HR, recruitment, or onboarding systems.
• Good knowledge of safeguarding, DBS, Right to Work, and data protection requirements.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and administrative skills with strong attention to detail.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office and other digital systems.
• Ability to work independently, prioritise workloads, and meet deadlines.
• Proactive, professional approach with handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Providing end-to-end recruitment support with a positive experience for hiring managers and candidates.
• Manage recruitment administration: job advertising, candidate communications, vacancy tracking, offers and contracts, and HR system records.
• Coordinate pre-employment screening and onboarding: right to work checks, DBS checks, references, qualification verification, safeguarding compliance.
• Support visa sponsorship applications, internal recruitment processes and SCR maintenance.
• Collaborate with the People Team to enhance recruitment processes and candidate experience.
