Job description

First Blue Healthcare is a dynamic, innovative, and ambitious group of dedicated individuals who wish to create beautiful homes in which young people who have fallen upon unfortunate times can thrive. We employ caring individuals who share our vision for success and most importantly we aspire to create amazing memories for our young people.

At First Blue we recognise each child as an individual; their qualities and uniqueness and when they become independent adults, they can reflect on their time with us and know they were valued and cared for in a nurturing and loving environment. We want children to live in a loving environment, to feel at home and be offered opportunities. A home where they have access to education and support to achieve their life aspirations. We understand the benefits and pitfalls of modern society, such as technology, social media and youth culture – and incorporate support for these into daily living.

Role overview:

We are seeking an experienced and empathetic Talent Acquisition Advisor to support our residential care services. Working closely with Directors and Operations Managers across our services, you will play a vital role in overseeing the entire recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing to onboarding, and ensuring a positive candidate experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and Implementing Recruitment Strategies: Creating and executing recruitment plans that align with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
  • Leading and Managing Recruitment: Overseeing the entire recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing to onboarding, and ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Sourcing and Screening Candidates: Utilizing various channels to identify potential candidates through job boards, social media, and networking events to identify and attract qualified candidates.
  • Conducting Interviews and Assessments: Evaluating candidates through interviews, assessments, and other methods to determine suitability for open positions.
  • Managing Relationships: Collaborating with hiring managers to understand their needs, providing guidance on recruitment best practices, and ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Monitoring Recruitment Metrics: Tracking and analysing key recruitment data to identify areas for improvement and ensure efficiency.
  • Promoting the Employer Brand: Representing the organization and its employer brand to attract top talent.
Essential Criteria:
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with candidates, hiring managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Experience working in settings regulated by Ofsted. Knowledge of specific regulatory guidance such as KCSIE (Keeping Children Safe in Education) or Working Together to Safeguard Children. Experience in an administrative role.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build rapport with candidates and maintain positive relationships.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to the recruitment process.
  • Knowledge of Recruitment Processes: Understanding of the full recruitment lifecycle and best practices.
  • Knowledge of Employment Laws: Awareness of relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment-related software.
