Salary: £24,500 - £32,700 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

Contract type: 1 x Permanent role and 2 x 6-month fixed-term contracts (Welsh language is desirable for one of the fixed-term contracts)

Location: Flexible – Any BBC UK office base (London, Birmingham, Cardiff, Salford, Glasgow, Belfast). This is a hybrid role, and the successful candidate will balance office working with home working.

We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Advisor to join us in recruiting for roles across our various divisions. The successful candidate will thrive in a challenging and busy environment, always keeping the candidate and the manager at the center of all they do to deliver high-quality, diverse hires into the BBC across Public Services.

The Talent Acquisition Advisor will be a trusted partner working in partnership with their hiring managers, providing a high-quality, expert consultative service to the business. The Talent Acquisition team has its challenges, so the individual needs to be adaptable and organized amidst change. However, you will be entering a supportive and collaborative team, where everyone is heard and supported.

Main Responsibilities

The Talent Acquisition Advisor is an integral part of a busy, high-performing Talent Team, responsible for delivering a wide variety of recruitment for roles at bands A-D. The role involves filling vacancies across the organization. The successful individual will work independently to manage approximately 20 requisitions at any one time and collaborate on more complex projects, as well as respond to policy and process requests.

You will report to the Talent Acquisition Team Leads and work with Senior Talent Acquisition Business Partners and the wider TA team, from sourcing to onboarding, to realize opportunities and create value across the BBC.

Additionally, you will be expected to:

  • Deliver an exemplary end-to-end recruitment service for both permanent and fixed-term contracts, from role kick-off, screening, scheduling, to closing and onboarding candidates. Bring personality, relationship-building skills, and expertise to evolve our recruitment processes.
  • Proactively work with internal stakeholders to ensure a connected approach, balancing the need to improve the employee experience with business needs.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience.
  • Follow inclusive recruitment processes and practices.
  • Work closely with Sourcing to improve and own recruitment and sourcing processes, ensuring a seamless experience for candidates and hiring managers.
  • Build relationships and act as the specialist contact for recruitment at bands A-D.
  • Manage queries from hiring managers or candidates relating to service quality.
  • Provide clear, timely responses and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Meet service level agreements and KPIs to enhance the reputation of the BBC Talent Acquisition function through excellent service and professionalism.
  • Support a culture of service excellence, embody BBC Values and Behaviors, and contribute to continuous improvement by providing insights and identifying opportunities, risks, and priorities.

  • Are experienced in volume recruitment, capable of managing multiple campaigns simultaneously, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Have experience with inclusive recruitment processes and practices.
  • Are natural collaborators, invested in sharing ideas to continually improve team operations.
