Job summary

Tailor Made Technologies in Whiteley, Hampshire is seeking a Project Resource Manager to lead resource planning and utilisation across our Professional Services engineering team. You will ensure projects are staffed effectively and that delivery teams have visibility of current and future workload.

This fast-paced role suits someone with experience in resource management, workforce planning, PMO or project operations who can drive improvement, balance priorities and partner with engineers,

Qualifications

• Experience in Resource Management, Workforce Planning, PMO or Professional Services Operations.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation abilities.
• Experience juggling multiple workstreams and competing demands.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and relationship-building skills.
• Analytical skills with ability to interpret utilisation and capacity data.
• Experience in IT Services, Managed Services or Professional Services is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage resource allocation, scheduling, availability and utilisation across the Professional Services engineering team.
• Gate incoming project workload and assign work based on skills, capacity and business priorities.
• Maintain and optimise resource planning and booking systems with accurate data visibility.
• Monitor utilisation, forecast demand and help maximise delivery performance.
• Produce reporting and insights on capacity, utilisation, demand and commercial performance.
• Collaborate with Project Coordinators, Engineers, Account Managers and customers to schedule and deliver projects.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing resource allocation, scheduling, availability and utilisation across our Professional Services engineering team.
• Acting as the gatekeeper for incoming project workload, ensuring work is assigned based on skills, capacity and business priorities.
• Maintaining and optimising our resource planning and booking systems, ensuring data accuracy and visibility across the business.
• Monitoring engineer utilisation, identifying resource conflicts, forecasting future demand and helping maximise delivery performance.
• Producing reporting and insights around capacity, utilisation, project demand and commercial performance to support business decision‑making.
• Working closely with Project Coordinators, Engineers, Account Managers and customers to ensure successful project scheduling and delivery.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in Resource Management, Workforce Planning, Project Coordination, PMO or Professional Services Operations.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Experience managing multiple workstreams and competing demands.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting utilisation, capacity and performance data.
• Commercial awareness and confidence producing operational reports.
• Experience working within IT Services, Managed Services or Professional Services environments would be highly advantageous.
