Job summary

Cover People are seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant or HLTA to join a Salford primary school, supporting KS2 pupils with challenging behaviour and SEMH needs. You will plan and deliver English and Maths activities and lead outdoor learning and enrichment sessions.

The role requires a Level 3 TA or HLTA qualification, Team Teach training, and the confidence to manage groups independently with energy, patience and a positive approach. ASAP start.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant or HLTA qualification required.

Cover People are working with a welcoming Salford primary school seeking an experienced practitioner to lead a small group of KS2 pupils with challenging behaviour.

The role:

• Plan and deliver English and Maths activities each morning
• Lead outdoor learning, sport and enrichment sessions each afternoon
• Create an engaging alternative curriculum suited to the pupils’ needs
• Build positive relationships and provide clear, consistent boundaries
• Help pupils develop their confidence, engagement and resilience

You must have:

• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant or HLTA qualification
• Current Team Teach training – essential
• Experience supporting challenging behaviour or SEMH needs
• Confidence planning and leading learning independently
