Job summary

Cover People are seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant or HLTA to join a Salford primary school, supporting KS2 pupils with challenging behaviour and SEMH needs. You will plan and deliver English and Maths activities and lead outdoor learning and enrichment sessions.

The role requires a Level 3 TA or HLTA qualification, Team Teach training, and the confidence to manage groups independently with energy, patience and a positive approach. ASAP start.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant or HLTA qualification required.
• Team Teach training (essential).
• Experience supporting challenging behaviour or SEMH needs.
• Ability to plan and lead learning independently.
• Energetic, patient and positive approach preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver English and Maths activities each morning.
• Lead outdoor learning, sport and enrichment sessions each afternoon.
• Create an engaging alternative curriculum suited to pupils’ needs.
• Build positive relationships and provide clear, consistent boundaries.
• Help pupils develop confidence, engagement and resilience.
