Job summary

WMJobs is seeking a Grade 2 Teaching Assistant (Learning Support Mentor) for a school in Worcester. The role is 32 hours per week, term time only plus training days, with a September 2026 start date.

You will work under the guidance of the SENDCo and the Senior Leadership Team to support students with SEND both in and out of classrooms, enabling access to learning and promoting inclusive practice. Salary ranges from £19,435 to £19,743 per annum.

Qualifications

• Assist the SLT in promoting inclusive learning.

Responsibilities

• Support named students with SEND to access learning activities.
• Assist with preparation and delivery of learning tasks during lessons.

Schedule: Mon to Thurs 8:30am — 4:00pm / Fri 8:30am — 3:30pm, term time only plus training days

Grade: Scale 2, points 5‑6

Salary: £19,435 to £19,743 per annum

Start date: September 2026

Reporting to: SENDCo

Main Purpose of the Role

To work under the instruction/guidance of the Special Educational Needs and Disability Coordinator (SENDCo) and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to undertake work, care and support for students with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) which enable them to access and respond to their learning. Work may be carried out both in and out of the classroom.
