Job summary

Old Moat Primary School in Manchester is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 2 to support learning across the primary age range. The role requires experience with children, good numeracy and literacy, and the ability to work well with colleagues and teachers.

Applicants should have a TA Level 2 qualification (or equivalent), basic ICT skills, and a willingness to engage in first aid training as appropriate. Knowledge of the national curriculum will be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with or caring for children of a relevant age.
• Numeracy/literacy skills (at a level equivalent to NQF Level 2).
• Completion of the Teaching Assistant Level 2 qualification or equivalent.

• Understanding of national/foundation stage curriculum and other basic learning programmes/strategies.
• Basic understanding of child development and learning.
• Ability to plan and make accurate records of learning and development.
• Willingness to undertake first aid training as appropriate.
