Job summary

Teaching Personnel are working with a welcoming primary school in Christchurch, Dorset, seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a KS1 pupil with additional needs.

The role focuses on daily academic, social and emotional development, with opportunities to tailor learning interventions and collaborate with teachers and SENCO. Prior SEN experience is preferred, with potential for a permanent position.

Qualifications

• Experience with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or additional learning needs.
• Patience, empathy and a child-centred approach.
• Ability to adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in a primary school setting is desirable.
• Relevant qualifications are beneficial but not essential.

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a welcoming primary school in Christchurch that is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a KS1 pupil with additional needs.

This is a rewarding opportunity for an individual who is passionate about helping children reach their full potential and thrive within a supportive learning environment. Previous SEN experience is preferred, although candidates with relevant transferable experience and a positive, nurturing approach will also be considered.
