Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Design Manager for the Transmission & Distribution business in the UK. You will lead multi-disciplinary design teams, oversee projects from concept to completion, and ensure compliance with safety, quality and client standards while delivering innovative infrastructure solutions.

This role offers a hybrid work model and opportunities to work on high-profile programmes like the UK National Grid projects, with a focus on delivering a better world through engineering

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical or power systems engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex multi-discipline projects.
• Chartered ship & LCDAE/CDAE certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design projects across the UK & Ireland, coordinating with Discipline Leads, PMs and Directors.
• Act as Technical Project Manager for multi-disciplinary designs (substations, cables, protection, civils).
• Lead lifecycle of design projects from concept to completion, ensuring safety, quality and adherence to standards.
