Job summary

YT Technologies in Poole is seeking a Systems Test Engineer for a 3-month contract (inside IR35). The role pays £50-£55 per hour and involves ownership of testing for complex, multidisciplinary projects across the full testing lifecycle.

You will work under the Test Engineering Manager, conducting system integration testing, writing test strategies and cases, and coordinating with software developers to diagnose and resolve issues while reporting progress and estimates.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as a Software or System Test Engineer.
• Experience in system integration testing across the SDLC.
• Experience with ALM tools; DOORS is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and time-management skills; strong communication.
• Ability to write technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Test Delivery: Plan, coordinate, and deliver system test engineering activities aligned with targets.
• Test Documentation: Produce test strategy-aligned procedures, write test cases and scripts.
• System Integration: Conduct end-to-end integration testing for multi-component systems.
• Defect & Root Cause Analysis: Work with software developers to isolate and resolve issues.
• Progress Reporting & Estimations: Communicate test metrics, progress and estimations.
