Job summary

Rullion Managed Services is seeking a Software Testing Engineer to join our engineering team in Poole. You will own testing activities across complex projects, from test specifications and cases to execution and customer acceptance testing.

Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to identify defects and drive quality improvements, ensuring safety, quality and compliance throughout the lifecycle. You will contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and maintain up-to-date

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Software Test Engineer or similar role.
• Strong understanding of system integration testing in complex environments.
• Experience writing test cases, specifications and scripts.
• Excellent analytical and diagnostic abilities.
• Clear communication of technical information.
• Experience in structured engineering or technical project settings.
• Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Deliver test engineering activities to agreed time, cost and quality targets.
• Design, develop and execute test procedures for system integration testing.
• Create and maintain test cases, test specifications and test scripts.
• Investigate defects and collaborate with development teams to identify root causes.
• Plan, coordinate and manage testing activities across project workstreams.
• Produce accurate estimates for testing activities and deliverables.
• Monitor and communicate test progress, metrics, results and risks.
• Support factory and customer acceptance testing phases.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and engineering assurance processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and best practice testing methodologies.
• Maintain technical expertise through ongoing professional development.
