Job summary

Design for Manufacture Resourcing (DFM-R) Limited is seeking an experienced Test Engineer for a permanent, office-based role at the Telford facility. You will test complete engineered systems across mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and controls disciplines before despatch, ensuring quality and safety.

You will work with Engineering, Production and Project teams, following test plans and documenting results while supporting customer-witnessed testing when required.

Qualifications

• Experience with special purpose machinery, material handling, automation or manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience with hydraulics, electrical controls, PLC-controlled machinery, instrumentation or variable-speed drives.

Responsibilities

• Functional testing of machinery and complete engineered systems.
• Preparing equipment for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
• Working from test plans, procedures and technical documentation.
• Testing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and control functions.
• Fault finding and diagnosing technical issues.
• Recording test results and completing relevant documentation.
• Working with Design, Controls and Production Engineers to resolve faults.
• Supporting customer-witnessed testing where required.
• Ensuring equipment meets required quality and safety standards prior to despatch.
