Job Description:

Systems Test Engineer - Marlborough (SN8) 3 days a week) - £85,000

The current geopolitical landscape is rapidly changing, leading to a need for the UK and Europe to define their own future and reduce reliance on the USA. Consequently, engineering companies involved in designing and manufacturing defence products and components are set to experience growth.

In this role, you will join an organization focused on growth; they design and manufacture cutting-edge unmanned systems.

As the new Systems Test Engineer, you will be in a technical role testing system-level components, focusing on Test & Trials responsibilities at various sites for Propulsion Systems. Being part of a smaller organization, you will have full autonomy over planning and conducting test trials for defence systems and managing risks associated with launching complex hardware, potentially including rocket-assisted take-off mechanisms.

Responsibilities include safety planning, safety analysis, and conducting missile testing/trials. An ideal candidate would have:

• Strong defence background (eligibility for SC clearance)
• Systems safety experience (safety plans and analysis)
• Experience with missile testing/trials
• UAS or RATO experience is highly desirable
