Job summary

Vanrath partners with a prominent public sector organisation in Lisburn to recruit a Systems & Resource Manager. You will lead the Sports Services Unit, driving quality assurance, procurement controls, and ICT system management to enhance service delivery.

You will develop operational plans, manage business support to optimise income streams (Vitality Membership, ICT tools), and foster strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to maximise impact.

Qualifications

• Level 6 qualification or degree.
• At least 3 years' experience managing operational or administrative functions.
• Procurement, contract monitoring, and quality assurance standards experience (e.g., Customer Service Excellence).
• Ability to lead teams and develop operational plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality assurance initiatives for the Sports Services Unit, including external validations.
• Oversee procurement activities in line with council policies.
• Manage business support services to optimise income streams and ICT systems.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive Systems & Resource Manager to lead operational excellence and drive innovative service delivery.

Salary/Benefits

• Competitive hourly rate of £20.66
• 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday (4 days in the office, 1 day work from home where operationally feasible)

About you

• Proven ability to lead teams, implement business improvement strategies, and develop operational plans
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

What you'll do

• Lead the Sports Services Unit's quality assurance initiatives, including external validations like Investors in People and Customer Service Excellence
• Oversee procurement activities, ensuring compliance with council policies and procedures
• Manage business support services to optimise income streams, including Vitality Membership and ICT systems such as Leisure Management software and Legend Leisure Management software
• Coordinate and review service delivery, ensuring efficiency and high standards through policy reviews and process improvements
• Foster strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to maximise service impact and community participation
