Job summary

Synergize Consulting Ltd in Luton is seeking an experienced Systems Requirements Engineer with current SC clearance to support the Defence sector. The role involves developing and defining system requirements for complex projects, collaborating with engineering domains and SMEs to enable design and integration.

You will contribute to requirements capture, interface definition, and alignment with system and product objectives, supporting the full lifecycle from requirements through verification

Qualifications

• SC clearance is required.
• Experience in complex defence/aerospace or highly regulated environments.
• Experience developing and defining system requirements.
• Understanding of systems engineering principles, design and interfaces.
• Experience across full engineering life cycle.
• Experience supporting systems integration, verification and/or validation beneficial.
• Experience in Agile engineering environments.
• Exposure to MBSE tools such as Cameo/MODELER.

Responsibilities

• Support the development, capture and management of system requirements throughout the engineering life cycle.
• Contribute to system design and interface definition with multi-domain teams.
• Support integration of requirements across complex systems and align with objectives.
• Collaborate with SMEs to resolve requirements and interface issues.
• Contribute to activities across the full life cycle, potentially progressing to integration/verification/validation.
• Work within an Agile environment with multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex solutions.

Systems Requirements Engineer - Defence industry

Luton (4-5 days per week onsite)

One year contract

Up to £81.80 p/h Inside IR35

*SC clearance is essential and 4-5 days a week onsite in Luton*

We are seeking an experienced security cleared Systems Requirements Engineer to support the development and definition of requirements for complex Defence projects.

The role will sit within a highly technical engineering environment, working closely with engineering domains and subject-matter experts to develop system requirements, support system design, and define interfaces required to enable successful design and integration activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development, capture and management of system requirements throughout the engineering life cycle.
• Contribute to system design and interface definition, working closely with engineering teams across multiple technical domains.
• Support the integration of requirements across complex systems and ensure alignment with wider system and product objectives.
• Work collaboratively with engineering teams and technical subject-matter experts to resolve requirements and interface issues.
• Contribute to engineering activities across the full systems life cycle, with the potential to progress from requirements definition into: System integration, Qualification, Verification and Validation
• Work within an Agile engineering environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex engineering solutions.

• Live security clearance (SC)
• Experience in systems engineering and requirements development within a complex defence, aerospace or other highly regulated engineering environment.
• Experience developing and defining system requirements.
• Understanding of systems engineering principles, design and interface definition.
• Experience working across the full engineering life cycle.
• Experience supporting systems integration, verification and/or validation activities would be advantageous.
• Experience working in an Agile engineering environment.
• Experience using MATLAB for modelling and analysis.
• Experience using Cameo Systems Modeler or similar MBSE/modelling tools.
• Experience within Electronic Warfare (EW) or other complex defence systems.
• Exposure to systems integration, qualification, verification and validation.
