Systems Lead – RF

Job summary

Lorien is seeking a lead engineer to develop and deliver an RF data link within a weapons system programme. You will provide technical leadership to a small team of engineers on complex, cutting-edge projects.

The role involves 4-5 days on site with some UK and potential European travel. The contract is 12 months with possible extension and requires the ability to obtain SC clearance. Defence or aerospace experience is ideal, other industries considered.

Qualifications

• Must have SC clearance eligibility.
• Understanding of RF communication principles.
• Experience leading a small engineering team.
• Defence or aerospace background is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of an RF data link within a weapons system programme.
• Provide technical leadership to a small team of engineers on complex, cutting-edge projects.
• Manage requirements definition and change control.
• Lead design reviews and support validation activities.
• Oversee project deliverables and management of technical risks and suppliers/stakeholders.
