Job summary

Entanet is seeking a Systems Infrastructure Engineer in Telford to manage both on‑premise and hybrid cloud infrastructure. You will own Linux OS administration, virtualization platforms, and the lifecycle of the estate including migrations to AWS or other cloud environments.

You’ll work with Networks Architects and Engineers on shared systems such as RADIUS, DNS, NMS, and logging, ensuring secure, compliant configurations and automation processes. A strong on‑call rota is required.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux/OS administration in a production environment.
• Experience with virtualization platforms (OpenStack, Proxmox).
• Understanding of on‑prem-to-cloud migrations and data extraction.
• Familiarity with RADIUS/DNS/centralised logging like rsyslog/Graylog.
• Build and configure systems to be secure by design with telecom standards.
• Scripting and automation with Bash, Python, Ansible or Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Manage on‑premise server and storage infra across two data centres.
• Manage AWS environments with IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation).
• Support migration from legacy CityFibre systems and associated services (DNS, logging, ITSM).
• Own Linux/OS administration, patching, and automated provisioning.
• Collaborate with Networks on network‑related systems and integration.
