Electus Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a major rail infrastructure programme to recruit a Systems Engineer – Requirements & Verification in London. The role focuses on requirements management and verification across the engineering lifecycle, with hybrid working in Euston (2 days remote, 3 days onsite).

You will work with design, construction and technical specialists to ensure traceability, verification matrices and effective delivery of project deliverables on site.

Qualifications

• Experience of Systems Engineering with focus on Requirements Management and Verification & Validation.
• Experience using IBM DOORS.
• Experience on large infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
• Rail sector experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Implementing the project's Requirements Management Plan and processes.
• Managing project requirements throughout the lifecycle using IBM DOORS.
• Collaborating with design, construction, subcontractors and SMEs to allocate and manage requirements.
• Producing Verification & Validation Matrices (VVMs) to support assurance activities.
• Supporting requirements traceability and verification/delivery of project deliverables.
• Monitoring and reporting on Requirements Management performance.
• Supporting continuous improvement of RM processes and ways of working.
• Building strong relationships across multidisciplinary project teams.

Systems Engineer – Requirements & Verification (Rail Infrastructure)

Location: Euston, London (Hybrid – 2 days remote, 3 days onsite) Salary: £60,000 to £65,000 + £2,500 London Weighting Allowance + Excellent Benefits

Play a key role in delivering one of the UK's most significant rail infrastructure programmes. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Systems Engineer to join a major rail infrastructure programme delivering complex underground civil engineering works in London. Working within the Completions & Transitions team, you'll be responsible for managing project requirements and supporting Verification & Validation activities throughout the engineering lifecycle. This is a practical Systems Engineering role where you'll work closely with design teams, construction teams and technical specialists to ensure requirements are effectively managed, verified and delivered. This opportunity is ideal for someone with experience of Requirements Management on large infrastructure projects who enjoys collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and seeing engineering solutions delivered on site.

What you'll be doing

About You

You'll be an experienced Systems Engineer with a practical approach to Requirements Management and Verification & Validation.

We're looking for candidates with:

• Experience of Systems Engineering with a strong focus on Requirements Management and Verification & Validation.
• Experience using IBM DOORS.
• Experience working on large infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• The ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.
• A relevant engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience within the rail sector would be advantageous but is not essential.

Please Note This role is based in Euston with hybrid working of 2 days remote and 3 days onsite. The contracted working week is 45 hours. Please ensure this working pattern is suitable before applying.
