Job summary

Thales is recruiting a Systems Engineer in Crawley, hybrid working, to deliver next-generation EW, Radar or UAS solutions within ISR UK. You will contribute across the full engineering lifecycle, manage requirements, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to verify design against customer needs.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, experience with DOORS or Polarion, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in a Numerate, Scientific or Engineering subject or equivalent training/experience.
• Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS or Polarion.
• Knowledge of the engineering lifecycle from concept to test strategies and updates.
• Understanding of Systems Engineering Processes and Lifecycles.
• Ability to integrate and verify multiple technologies in a system.
• Collaborative working with multiple stakeholders across disciplines.
• Understanding of Systems Thinking and its application in engineering.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate that the solution satisfies the customer’s approved operational needs.
• Formalise and manage requirements using DOORS or similar tools.
• Assemble solution elements to evaluate design, behaviour and performance against requirements.
• Formalise specifications used to develop the solution.
• Contribute to or review engineering plans for the solution.
• Support and undertake IVVQ activities.
• Perform trade-off analysis, modelling and simulation.
• Prepare SE and IVVQ documentation.
• Collaborate with Systems Eng team, Architect or Design Authority to design and formalise the solution.
