Job summary

Arm is a global consultancy supporting organisations across defence and national security sectors. We are seeking a Systems Engineer to join the Infrastructure and Platform Services team, supporting secure, reliable and resilient technology across cloud and on‑prem environments.

The role offers hands‑on experience with Azure, Windows/Linux, virtualization, Kubernetes, OpenShift and automation, under the guidance of senior engineers and architects.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Up to 3 years' experience in infrastructure, systems administration, cloud support or technical operations.
• Foundational understanding of cloud and enterprise infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Support cloud and on-premises infrastructure environments.
• Maintain Windows Server and Linux platforms.
• Assist with the deployment and support of Microsoft Azure services.
• Support virtualisation, Kubernetes and OpenShift environments.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, availability and capacity.
• Support incident, problem and change management.
• Assist with backup, disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Contribute to automation, Infrastructure as Code and configuration management.
• Support infrastructure upgrades, migrations and continuous improvement.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
