Job summary

ARM is seeking a Systems Engineer to join its Infrastructure and Platform Services team in the United Kingdom. This early-career role focuses on cloud and on‑premises infrastructure across Azure, Windows/Linux, virtualization, Kubernetes, OpenShift and automation.

You will work with experienced engineers to develop skills across hybrid environments, contribute to automation, and support secure, reliable technology operations.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Up to 3 years' experience in infrastructure, systems administration, cloud support or technical operations.
• Foundational understanding of cloud and enterprise infrastructure.
• Strong interest in systems, cloud and platform engineering.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and work within structured engineering and security environments.

Responsibilities

• Support cloud and on-premises infrastructure environments.
• Maintain Windows Server and Linux platforms.
• Assist with the deployment and support of Microsoft Azure services.
• Support virtualisation, Kubernetes and OpenShift environments.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, availability and capacity.
• Support incident, problem and change management.
• Assist with backup, disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Contribute to automation, Infrastructure as Code and configuration management.
