This position is for a Systems Engineer (SE) supporting new product development and research in Eaton’s Mission Systems Division (MSD). The Systems Engineer is responsible for requirements management, system architecture development, and supporting system integration and test. The candidate will be an individual contributor alongside other system engineers based in the UK and in Global Teams.
The products and systems are thermal fluid and dynamic mechanical systems and avionics that support aerospace applications. These aerospace applications are diverse and will primarily include aircraft refueling, and weapons storage and release systems. The Systems Engineer should be self‑motivated to proactively learn about the technical domain of the given system and identify how and where the systems engineering discipline can create the highest value. This role will also support migration of the requirements management processes from CRADLE to DOORS NG and migration of architecture modelling from EA to CAMEO. Finally, the candidate should work as a member and partner of the product team generating SE work products and providing technical guidance to incorporate systems engineering methodologies. Other skills include technical leadership, project execution, and team collaboration.
