Job summary

Warwickshire County Council is seeking a Workforce Assistant to provide first line support for core workforce systems (iTrent and Hornbill) by responding to customer queries and maintaining accurate records. You will support delivery of workforce services aligned with the people strategy.

The role requires analytical thinking, strong communication, and a proactive, collaborative attitude. Experience with MS Office and customer service is advantageous for success.

  • Confident communicator, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and manage interruptions.
  • Experience of handling manual or digital information.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and email.

About The Team And The Role

The Workforce Information Systems team sits within the Pay & Systems Service, part of Workforce Services, supporting reliable, accurate and customer-focused services for our employees and traded customers.

As a Workforce Assistant, you will provide first line support for our core workforce systems, (iTrent and Hornbill), by responding to customer queries and maintaining accurate system records. Your role will support the delivery of workforce services that support our people strategy and service offer.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Support customers through our CRM System, phone and instant messaging.
  • Analysing straightforward issues and escape where specialist input is needed.
  • Maintain accurate workforce system records and structures.
  • Correct data quality issues and keep guidance materials up to date.
  • Work collaboratively across the team and identify service improvements.
What We’re Looking For
