Job summary

Accountable Recruitment are partnering with a well-established organisation in Liverpool on an interim Finance Systems Manager/Systems Accountant role. You will lead finance systems improvements, partner with Finance and IT, and drive ERP upgrade projects. Hybrid working and stakeholder exposure are key features.

Ideal candidates will have a strong accounting background, ERP experience, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement of business-critical systems.

Qualifications

• Experience as Finance Systems Manager, Systems Accountant or similar.
• Strong accounting/finance background with ERP project delivery experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, optimisation and ongoing management of finance systems.
• Drive ERP upgrades, enhancements and implementation projects.
• Act as the link between Finance, IT and external system providers.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting through systems management.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting capabilities and data quality.
• Provide systems expertise and user support across the organisation.
• Define and deliver the finance systems roadmap with senior stakeholders.
• Ensure systems meet evolving business needs.

Interim Systems Accountant / Finance Systems Manager

Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a well-established organisation that is embarking on an exciting programme of finance systems enhancement and transformation. They are seeking to appoint an experienced Finance Systems Manager to join the team on an initial 6 month contract.

Based in Liverpool, you will work on a hybrid basis, partnering closely with Finance, IT and senior stakeholders to drive system improvements, reporting enhancements and future ERP developments.

This opportunity is ideal for a finance systems professional with a strong accounting or finance background who enjoys delivering change, improving processes and maximising the value of business-critical systems.

Job Duties:

• Lead the development, optimisation and ongoing management of finance systems.
• Drive ERP upgrades, enhancements and implementation projects.

• Identify opportunities to improve reporting capabilities, data quality and system functionality.
• Provide systems expertise and support to finance users across the organisation.

Ideal Experience:

• Previous experience in a Finance Systems Manager, Finance Systems Analyst or Systems Accountant
• Immediately available for a 6 month fixed term contract
• Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ ACCA/ ACA or equivalent)
• Strong finance or accounting background, ideally with experience supporting finance functions.
• Proven track record of ERP implementation, upgrade or optimisation projects.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience of systems such as Unit4, Agresso, Power BI or similar would be advantageous.
• Ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proactive approach with a passion for continuous improvement and process enhancement.
