Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Test & Validation Technician to join its production team. The role focuses on testing, inspecting and verifying assembled units against engineering specifications and customer requirements.

You will work with Production, Engineering and Quality to perform FAT and diagnostics while maintaining test records. The position is hands-on and production-focused, offering opportunities to develop skills across testing activities and to contribute to quality gates before

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing, production or testing environment.
• Hands-on experience testing mechanical, electrical or integrated systems.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics and technical specifications.
• Experience with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), test equipment and analysing test results.
• Good understanding of quality control, NCRs and root cause analysis, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support test planning and readiness in line with production schedules and project milestones.
• Review and contribute to test plans, procedures and work instructions.
• Carry out in-process, system-level and final acceptance testing (FAT) on assembled units.
• Conduct mechanical, electrical and integrated system testing.
• Perform product inspections, fault finding and diagnostics, clearly reporting any issues identified.
• Identify, raise and support the resolution of non-conformances (NCRs).
• Ensure products meet defined quality gates before progression or delivery.
• Maintain accurate test records, reports, certification packs and traceability documentation.
• Communicate test progress, issues and results to relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment and instrumentation as required.
• Support shift-based working where required, including day/night rotation.
