Job summary

Boeing Defence United Kingdom Limited seeks a System Safety and Environmental Engineering Manager to lead safety and environmental efforts across UK programmes. You will plan resources and budgets, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with UK MOD and Boeing stakeholders.

The role requires strong leadership, cross-functional coordination, and the ability to mentor a diverse team including graduates and apprentices. UK travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year in a leadership role or completed Boeing leadership training.
• Ability to develop and execute project and process plans, policies and procedures.
• Experience in resource acquisition, supplier management and process improvement.
• Strong relationship-building with customers, partners, peers and reports.
• Proven ability to motivate and develop team members.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute frameworks for safety and environmental engineering across programmes.
• Plan, forecast and manage resources and budgets for safety and environmental activities.
• Lead continuous improvement to enhance team performance and delivery.
• Engage with functional staff on safety requirements for projects.
• Oversee recruitment, development and performance management of staff and early career professionals.
• Coordinate with UK MOD and Boeing stakeholders; travel as required.
