Job summary

MBDA is seeking a System of Systems Engineer in Bristol to support export contracts and evolve products for customers. The role involves defining requirements, architecture, integration and verification plans, plus coordinating with customers and industrial partners.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, driving system-level design and ensuring technical coherence across work streams while engaging with stakeholders and government organisations.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing and integrating complex systems, preferably in the defence industry.
• Strong systems thinking skills with the ability to initiate and drive trade studies.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical information to a variety of stakeholders.
• Experience drafting design requirements and verification docs, and agreeing them with stakeholders.
• Project engineering knowledge to design and deliver work packages.
• Familiarity with system architecture tools (DOORS, Rhapsody)

Responsibilities

• Working with the customer to define System of Systems Requirements including evolution paths for future development.
• Define System of Systems architecture and use-cases with the customer.
• Defining System of Systems integration requirements and verification plans.
• Conducting design and technical reviews internally and with the customer.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to resolve technical issues with customers and partners.
