This position is for a Systems Engineering (SE) Lead Engineer supporting research and new product development. The Systems Engineer is responsible for requirements management, system architecture development, and supporting system integration and test. The candidate will be an individual contributor alongside other SE engineers based in UK and in Global Teams. The product and systems are thermal fluid and dynamic mechanical systems that support aerospace applications. These aerospace applications are diverse and will primarily include aircraft refuelling, and weapons storage and release systems. The Systems Engineer should be self-motivated to proactively learn about the technical domain of the given system and identify how and where the systems engineering discipline can create the highest value. A primary function of this role will be to develop and execute the plan to migrate the requirements management processes from CRADLE to DOORS NG. Finally, the candidate should work as a member and partner of the product team generating SE work products and providing technical guidance to incorporate systems engineering methodologies. Other critical skills include technical leadership, project execution, and team collaboration.
