Job Description:

Job Role: System Analyst - Workday Finance

Location: Cardiff

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

The purpose of this role is:

The Workday finance administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day operational support for Workday finance and Adaptive Planning, including responding to tickets raised from across the Finance and P2P teams on Easyvista.

You will build relationships with finance and non-finance colleagues to understand and resolve their queries regarding the Workday system.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable with Workday (or other ERP systems) and eager to deepen their knowledge in Workday.

You will be a member of the Workday competence centre team, providing post go-live support and enhancement of Workday solutions; supporting and improving our existing Workday deployment. This role will grow as we expand our Workday finance deployment.

Key Accountabilities
  • Manage the Workday finance system configuration and optimisation across the business.
  • Support Workday finance users on a day-to-day basis.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of system configurations, processes, and integrations.
  • Administer and maintain the Workday finance system.
  • Support configuration changes, review new system features, and support delivery.
  • Provide technical and functional support for finance business processes.
  • Collaborate with IT and Finance teams to understand requirements and challenges.
  • Create documentation to facilitate successful adoption of system changes.
Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, computer science, or related field.
  • Experience with Workday administration, configuration, and optimization (certification is a plus).
  • Knowledge of Workday/ERP project processes.
  • Strong understanding of financial systems and processes.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with Workday systems.
  • Experience in a Workday finance support role.
  • Experience working in an international organisation.
  • Understanding of data security principles and experience implementing security measures in Workday.
  • Technical background covering multiple technologies.
  • Experience in finance and/or IT functions.
  • Knowledge of the property sector is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn new technical areas quickly and effectively.
