Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a System Administrator 1 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit. You will configure and maintain Physical Access Control, CCTV, PSIM and other electronic security solutions for federal, local, and commercial clients as part of a global team.

The role requires Windows patching knowledge, basic networking, and the ability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends; prior TOC experience is a plus and collaboration with US teams is encouraged.

Qualifications

• BS degree with progressive IT experience or HS Diploma with 6+ years of progressive experience.
• Experience triaging and resolving system problems, deploying new workstations, and analyzing system data to prevent issues.
• Demonstrated understanding of Windows patching and vulnerability remediation.
• Basic knowledge of large-scale networking, VLANs and routing.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, holidays and on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and troubleshoot CCTV, Physical Access control, communications and other Enterprise Physical Security systems.
• Manage and execute TOC tasks; provide updates to leadership and escalate as required.
• Undertake AI and other initiatives to evolve the team and program.
• Support daily operations and monitor system logs.
• Contribute to technical documentation such as SOPs and builds for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Work under direct supervision and collaborate with regional teams.

We are seeking a System Administrator 1 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business Unit. As part of (SES) Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do: In this role you will be working as part of the Technical Operations Center (TOC) team to configure and maintain Physical Access Control, CCTV, PSIM and other electronic security systems as your primary duty. This team is part of an overall program of regional and international teams embedded at our client, regularly undertaking in intra-team initiatives, team-based and individually-lead training and career development.

During probation period (first 3 months) - Work 8hour x 5 day. 08:00 - 17:00

After probation period (>3 months) - 10hour x 4day shift pattern running Sunday to Wednesday (inclusive). 08:00 - 19:00

This role requires an existing knowledge in core Physical Security systems (CCTV, Access Control). Knowledge in addtional systems (PSIM, Communications, Asset Management) are an advantage.

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Install, configure and troubleshoot CCTV, Physical Access control, communications and other Enterprise Physical Security systems.
• Be responsible for the management and execution of your allocated TOC Tasks - routinely providing updates to team leadership and escalating where required.
• Undertaken AI and other initiatives to continually evolve the team and program.
• Support daily operations to include monitoring and reviewing system logs.
• Stay current with technological developments and make recommendations for ways to take advantage of new and emerging technology.
• Contribute to technical documentation such as standard operating procedures (SOP) and as builds for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Perform all duties under direct supervision.
• Participate in inter-regional "Foreign Exchange" visits with sister teams in USA to share knowledge and drive global team cohesion.

Education/Experience:

• BS degree and 0+ Years of progressive experience or
• HS Diploma or Equivalent and 6+ Years of progressive experience
• Requires some system administrator experience in performing triage on system problems, resolving system problems, analyzing system data to prevent problems, implementing new workstations, and system extensions.
• Demonstrated understanding of Windows patching and vulnerability remediation.
• Basic knowledge of large-scale networking, VLANS and routing.
• Requires reliable attendance at customer site during work hours required by customer.
• Requires the ability to work flexible shifts that include nights, weekends, holidays and on-call as needed.
• Requires minimum of IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+).
• Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
• Able to use MS Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint.
