Job Title: System Administrator

Salary Range: Up to £35,000

Job Type: Permanent

Hybrid Model: Mostly Remote – Occasional Attendance in Portsmouth (model TBC)

Overview

We’re recruiting a System Administrator to join a growing IT services provider. The role is primarily remote with occasional visits to the Portsmouth office. This position is ideal for someone with solid infrastructure knowledge, a proactive mindset, and a passion for troubleshooting, teamwork, and learning new technologies.

Responsibilities include supporting customer environments, managing support tickets, and maintaining system performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage customer support tickets, ensuring SLA compliance
• Troubleshoot issues independently or collaboratively, escalating when necessary
• Monitor infrastructure performance and proactively resolve issues
• Support installation, configuration, and upgrades of OS and software
• Assist with virtualization and cloud technologies
• Contribute to security initiatives, including patching and vulnerability management
• Maintain asset records and documentation
• Follow change control processes
