Our client is seeking a Senior Linux System Administrator to join their expanding organization that supports critical applications in healthcare, finance, and government sectors. The company is privately held, headquartered in the UK and USA, with global offices, and their software products are used daily by millions across more than 100 countries. They employ over 200 staff in the UK and 1,800 worldwide.

The successful candidate will work from the company's new office near Windsor train station, working in-office three days a week, benefiting from a vibrant office culture.

Responsibilities include designing server layouts, ensuring space, power, and cooling requirements are met, and collaborating with engineering teams to optimize performance and efficiency of hosted solutions. You will support all aspects of hosted services, troubleshooting incidents, deploying updates, and maintaining system integrity.

Core Technical Environment:

• Linux management experience with RHEL
• Automation experience with Puppet, Ansible, or Chef
• VMware 6 deployment and management experience with hundreds of virtual servers

Working in a mission-critical environment, you must have experience managing live production systems where uptime is crucial. Your troubleshooting skills and proactive problem prevention will be vital.

Responsibilities:

• Lead deployment of applications and changes with proper documentation and monitoring
• Administer and maintain hosted solutions, including firewalls, switches, servers, and storage
• Provide technical support across hosted services
• Provision and deploy server, network, and hosting equipment, including hands-on configuration
• Collaborate with stakeholders to obtain pre-operational sign-offs
