Careers In Design (Recruitment) Limited client seeks an experienced SWOOD Technical Designer for the internal Design & Development team. The role focuses on turning design into production with strong modelling, drawing and data skills in a furniture manufacturing context.

You will migrate SolidWorks content to SWOOD, build libraries, generate BOMs and cutting lists, and support production with accurate data. Office-based in South Buckinghamshire with scope for growth.

Qualifikationen

• Strong experience using SWOOD within furniture, cabinetry or joinery.
• Excellent 3D modelling and technical drawing skills.
• A good understanding of furniture construction, materials, hardware and manufacturing processes.
• Experience producing cutting lists, BOMs and CNC / manufacturing data.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve technical and manufacturing issues.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work closely with Design and Production teams.

Aufgaben

• Develop and implement a library of panel styles and components in SWOOD.
• Create detailed SWOOD models and generate cutting lists, BOMs and exploded drawings for production.
• Migrate the existing SolidWorks portfolio into SWOOD models and maintain library parts and templates.
• Adapt existing designs or develop new solutions for bespoke projects using SWOOD data.
• Act as SWOOD gatekeeper ensuring accurate information flows from Design to Production, reporting to Head of Design.
