Job summary

Keenwood is seeking an experienced Design Technician to transform design information into accurate, manufacture-ready drawings for bespoke joinery and interior fit-out projects. You will generate clear 2D drawings and 3D models, coordinating with workshop, production and commercial teams to ensure practical, coordinated solutions.

The role emphasizes detailed technical delivery, buildability, and integration of AI-enabled workflows, with hybrid office+remote flexibility and career progression

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in joinery, construction, furniture manufacturing or interior fit-out.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and/or 3D design software such as SolidWorks, Inventor or SketchUp.
• Strong understanding of joinery construction, materials and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate manufacturing drawings for bespoke joinery items.
• Develop construction drawings, sections, elevations and component details.
• Interpret architectural drawings and design information into practical manufacturing solutions.
• Create accurate 2D drawings and 3D models for internal coordination and manufacture.
• Develop joinery details with material, tolerances, hardware and installation considerations.
• Ensure drawings contain sufficient information for workshop and installation teams to manufacture and install correctly.
• Revise and update drawings in response to design, manufacturing and installation needs.
• Develop drawing templates and technical processes to improve efficiency.
• Integrate AI-assisted design tools and digital workflows into the design process.
