Switchgear Electrical Technician – Nottingham – £37,000 + OT + Benefits - Permanent
The primary purpose of this role is to manufacture and assemble low-voltage switchgear systems to a high standard. It involves reading and interpreting 3-phase schematic and CAD drawings. The position requires precise wiring, system modifications, and equipment maintenance. You'll be contributing to the delivery of advanced electrical power solutions.
Compressed Working Week: 39 hours across four days (Monday to Thursday), with the option of overtime on Fridays paid at time-and-a-half.

Key Responsibilities:
Assemble and wire low-voltage switchgear systems to high standards of quality and accuracy.
Interpret and work from 3-phase schematic and mechanical drawings, including CAD-generated schematics.
Carry out modifications and repairs to electrical and automated systems as required.
Operate machinery, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently in line with company procedures.
Support the ongoing maintenance of workshop equipment and ensure a clean, organised work environment.
Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and maintain consistent build quality.
Requirements:
Hands-on experience in electrical panel building or LV switchgear assembly.
Familiarity with 3-phase electrical systems and associated schematics.
17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification (BS 7671).
NVQ Level 3 or similar qualification in Electrical Engineering – advantageous.
Competence using hand and power tools in an industrial environment.
Team-oriented mindset with good communication and problem-solving skills.
