East Kootenay Regional Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a permanent full-time Switchboard Operator Receptionist to join their team in Cranbrook, BC.

This position works rotating shifts: days, evenings, nights (06:00 to 14:00, 14:00 to 22:00, 22:00 to 06:00).

What Will You Work On?

This position operates the switchboard, public address, and pager systems; receives and directs patients and visitors; admits all patients during evening, night shifts, and weekends; manages various monies owing; and performs clerical duties.

• A 5-minute typing test (45+ NWPM) from a recognized institution, completed within the past 48 months (non-supervised tests not accepted). For testing details, please refer to the application instructions.
• A Medical Terminology Certificate
• Your resume outlining two years of recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• A cover letter stating your availability to start and your preferences for on-call and casual work (days of the week)
