Job summary

GLL is seeking a swimming teacher at Wantage Leisure Centre to deliver safe, structured lessons for all ages, from children to adults. You’ll adapt techniques to pupil needs and manage lessons with a focus on progression while maintaining poolside safety and records.

We value approachable, patient teachers who can build trust and motivate learners. A valid Level 2 qualification plus safeguarding knowledge is essential, with options for flexible or part-time work.

Qualifications

• Qualified swimming teacher with STA Level 2 or Swim England Level 2.
• Strong safety awareness and knowledge of health & safety requirements.
• Experience teaching both group and one-to-one lessons.

Responsibilities

• Teach safe, structured swimming lessons to groups or individuals.
• Maintain a positive, welcoming image at the centre and poolside.
• Record attendance and progression in line with standards.
