Job summary

GLL is seeking a swimming teacher for Henley Leisure Centre in Henley-on-Thames. You will teach a range of lessons, from children to adults, aiming to build confidence and water safety.

You will follow the product manual and safeguarding policies while delivering high-quality, safe lessons. The role includes some administration but mainly focuses on teaching and supporting learners to progress.

Qualifications

• Must have STA Level 2 or Swim England Level 2 qualification.
• Knowledge of health, safety and other relevant legislation.
• Understanding of Child Protection Policy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a good and positive image of the Centre to customers and the public generally by providing a welcoming, helpful and professional poolside service.
• Ensure the safety and control of the pupils within the swimming lesson and to ensure that all relevant regulations applicable to the centres operation are enforced and complied with.
• Actively encourage pupils to enrol on further courses and short courses.
• Assist with new-enrolments and re-enrolments.
• Understand and follow the Safeguarding Policy and Procedure & Behaviour policy contained within the Swim School product.
• Record and complete attendance and progression in line with expected standards, ensuring that records reflect pupil ability accurately.
• Teach to the standard set within the product manual to ensure a consistent approach throughout all the centres.
