Job summary

Freedom Leisure is seeking Swim Teachers to deliver swimming lessons across its leisure centres. You will work with customers of all ages, ensuring safety, progression, and a positive learning environment; training is provided to help you succeed in a supportive team.

The role requires Level 2 swimming teaching qualification and an Enhanced DBS check, with flexible casual hours and access to employee benefits as part of our inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Level 2 swimming teaching qualification.
• Enhanced DBS check to be carried out.
• Excellent communication skills with a genuine desire to work closely with customers.
• An ability to assist with children and their parents.

Responsibilities

• To teach swimming to children and/or adults as part of the Leisure Centre’s swimming lesson programme, according to qualification, training and experience.
• To communicate with the children’s parents/guardians concerning their development, and advise on their progression through the programme.
• To assist in the supervision of customers in the swimming pool and surrounds, ensuring their safety and discipline.
• Excellent communication skills with a genuine desire to work closely with customers.
• An ability to assist with children and their parents.
