Job summary

Monmouthshire County Council is seeking an enthusiastic swimming instructor to join our team at a local leisure centre. You will deliver engaging, safe and progressive swimming sessions, helping learners of all ages improve technique and confidence in the water.

Role requires a DBS check (Enhanced with Children Barred List) and a welcoming, patient approach. Welsh language skills are desirable, and location is subject to potential relocation within the service area.

Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and customer-focused individual to join our swimming team. As a vital part of our service, you will bring an approachable, friendly, and patient manner to every session. You will inspire confidence, build trust, and empower learners of all ages to develop their swimming skills, refine technique, and grow in confidence in the water.

SALARY - IMPORTANT INFORMATION : Salary would be pro rata if not working full time hours or 52 weeks per year.
i.e. 37 hours per week / 32.5 per week for School Teachers
Temporary End Date(if applicable):
Location: Abergavenny Leisure Centre, NP7 6EP, United Kingdom. This may change in the future if the service location needs to relocate. Relocation or disturbance expenses will not be paid if this happens.
