Primary Objectives for the Swimming Teacher:

1. Deliver group and one-to-one lessons to a variety of ages and abilities as part of our Learn to Swim Programme, following the Swim England's Learn to Swim Framework.
2. Deliver at least one crash course during the year within our Learn to Swim Programme.
3. Provide high-quality lessons in line with the company's expected standards and schemes of work.
4. Deliver the company's internal water safety competencies: "Swim Safer, Smarter, Stronger".
5. Conduct lessons both in and out of the water, providing explanations and demonstrating appropriate swimming techniques for each skill level.
6. Carry out ongoing assessments and update each child's progression via tablet after each lesson.
7. Adhere to all health and safety protocols as outlined in the company's policies and procedures.
8. Hold an NRASTC qualification and manage own sessions when required by local NOP/EAP.
9. Engage in continuous professional development through various CPDs hosted by the company.
10. Maximize retention of swim school participants through quality standards, motivation, and customer care.
11. Maintain strong communication links with the swim manager, reception, and duty management.
12. Be passionate about improving our swim lesson programme and enhancing service to swimmers and customers.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:

1. SEQ Level 2 Swimming Teacher Qualification or equivalent.
2. NPLQ or NRASTC qualification.
3. Personal Characteristics:
1. Ability to communicate effectively with children and adults in a teaching setting.
2. Ability to gain acceptance and respect from colleagues and customers.
3. Ability to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and teachers.
4. Flexibility in working hours to meet role demands.
