Job description

Salary: Up to £15.53 per hour + excellent benefits

Part Time: 8.5 hours per week

Working hours: 2 shifts per week to cover a mixture of early, late & weekend hours.

You’ll be entrusted to:

  • Plan and deliver lessons to suit each swimmer in the class
  • Ensure safe provision and correct use of all equipment
  • Establish and ensure that safety standards are followed in every lesson
  • Identify participants' abilities and encourage them to reach their full potential
  • Provide explanations and demonstrate swimming techniques
  • Correct faults in swimming techniques and identify ways to improve performance

Does this sound like you?
You’ll be a great fit for this role if you...

  • Hold either a STA Award/Certificate in Teaching Swimming or Swim England (Previously ASA) Level 2
  • Are a strong swimmer
  • Hold either a valid RLSS UK NPLQ or RLSS UK NRASTC or STA Safety (advantageous but not essential as we can provide the training to complete these courses free of charge)
  • Have plenty of enthusiasm and a big smile
  • Possess excellent customer service skills and be someone who is happy to deal with people of all ages and backgrounds
  • Are willing to go the extra mile whilst on your rounds to enable your team to hit their targets
  • Are a team player
